Richard Shaw Announced as Director of Coaching
We are delighted to announce Richard Shaw as our new Director of Coaching.
“After several visits to the area, I am delighted to officially accept the position of Director of Coaching at Winter Park FC. I have been impressed with not only the way Paul wants his teams to play but also the environment that he has created to allow youngsters to enjoy playing soccer,” says Shaw.
“We will look to build on the great work that the coaches have already provided as well as focusing on tactical and technical information so that our players can continue to enjoy and express themselves as they develop not just in soccer, but also in life.”
Coach Shaw formerly played in the English Premier League for Crystal Palace F.C. and Coventry City F.C. From 2013-2019, he served as the U-23 head coach at Crystal Palace and is widely acknowledged for developing Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who now plays for Manchester United.
“I would like to give a big THANK YOU to everybody that has made me feel welcome already in Winer Park including the players, the coaches and the parents. I look forward to working with you all very soon.”
