Our Club History

In 2015 Paul Robins founded First Touch Sports which is a development academy that hosts an array of camps, clinics and leagues for players 3-14. From starting with 4 players, First Touch houses over 350 players in a variety of programs. First Touch was built on a foundation that focused on pure development of the individual and to create good habits. A Club was added in 2019 which is Winter Park FC.

Winter Park FC originated because of the hard work that was dedicated in building our development academy(First Touch Sports). Because we were developing so many good players from 3,4,5 years old, it was a natural progression to start a club for the players we had nurtured. We wanted a pathway for our players to progress to a higher level when ready so they could continue to be challenged. When deciding to start Winter Park FC we were very cautious at this not just being another club that focused purely on results no matter the age, and the measure of success being in the wins and loss column as well as how many teams it has. It was absolutely imperative that we upheld the same quality of standard we had with First Touch Sports and focused on player development regardless of the level of competition.

The name Winter Park is a brand in itself and we wanted to ensure that we had the same prestige that parents and players could be proud to represent. The badge for Winter Park FC personifies what the club stands for. The peacock symbolises the grace, style and beauty which is how we always try and play the game. The gold of our shield symbolizes success, achievement and quality which embodies who we are as a club. Winter Park FC's motto that we live by is "The Difference" and we want to ensure we are providing a product that is the difference in standard and also creating a difference in players lives on and off the field.
